I was experimenting with Safari's plugins, and I found that if you uninstalled Flip4Mac, DivX suddenly started working again. Of course this meant I couldn't watch any .wmv files, so I tried deleting "Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.webplugin" (it's important that it's the ".webplugin" file, not the ".plugin" file), found in "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins" and it worked! I can now watch any DivX file and any .wmv file (that I've tried of course).
Does anyone know why this works? Of course, I'm happy that it does, but it makes me wonder why it even does anything.
