I installed divx from divx.com and also tried using the avi2mov stuff from wherever..for this particular avi, they both didnt work...yet it works fine on pcs..whats the deal? help?

ditto, good recomendation

plug-ins for quicktime have produced varied results for me. video lan client (vlc) has always delivered consistently.

versiontracker.com - get the MSMPEGv2 and v1 codecs
I ahve those and videoLANcli, and I can watch any .avi, good luck
