Hi Everybody,

I'm looking to buy a hard case for my MBP. It seems my only options are Speck or Incase, both of which have their faults. I want a case/ shell to prevent scratches, and hopefully absorb some of the impact if my machine were to fall to the ground.

I like to make things out of duct tape, cardboard, bubble wrap, wood, metal, etc.

Id like to attempt to make a case for my 2011 MBP out of this or something similar. I could attach it with some type of double sided tape, velcro, uhu tac or something.

My main concern would be the case melting from high temps. It apparently becomes pliable at around 150 degrees F.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks!

P.S. Im not necessarily pondering this route because Im cheap, I like to make things also.
