The battery on my S4 is starting to get long in the tooth. I'd like to try replacing it on my own, but am wondering if I'll get stuck with a nongenuine battery alert (or similar) if I replace with a 3rd party battery. Info online is mixed (some comments on tutorial videos complain about this, some other posts say they don't have any notification). Does anyone here have solid knowledge on this?

Thanks!

Part serialisation is not on Apple Watches as AASPs and Apple Store regularly do not repair Apple Watches unlike an iPhone does.

Just make sure to don’t destroy the ribbon cables from the display.
