Have any of you fixed your iphone after water damage? My cousin just gave me his iPhone that he was thrown into a pool with and it does not turn on. The sleep/home button reboot doesnt work at all. Charging it doesnt even show anything either. However, the rest of the phone is physically intact.

Are there ways to open this bad boy up myself and fix it? Tutorials or anything?

Thanks!

You cannot fix water damaged and shorted electronics unless you replace the components that got wet and fried.
Try sticking it into rice for a week to see if it sucks all the moisture out and powers up again but I doubt it will function.
You can always bring it to Apple and have them replace it for $200
Or sale it on ebay as is and make $60-100 or something.
