.dmg files - what to do with them?

After I install a program into my App folder, what should I do with the originating .dmg files?

Create a folder just for them?

Move them to the trash?

I usually trash them. But some people like to keep them in case they want to reinstall the app at some point for whatever reason or install it on another computer, etc.

If it's a fairly important program i usually put the file on my external drive that i use to backup all my stuff - that way you have a quick'n'easy re-install if needed. That said, if its a small app, readily downloadable and often updated there's no need.
