dmg won't move to trash

Can anyone help?

I have a dog on my Western Digital hard drive. I don't need it, want to get rid of it. So try to move to trash, but it won't move. Try cmd+delete....nothing.

iMac makes the trash 'sound', but the dmg remains on the hard drive. Any help?

You might try Right Click: Get Info and see what Sharing & Permissions are set to.
