Sorry for this question, but i´m a newbie.... I have downloaded a .dmg file. How can I do for run it? do I need any special software?
When I try to run the file, a message box appears that says "Couldn´t find the application programm that created the document name "xxxx.dmg". To open bla blabla"

Thanks for your patience and time.

Anyway, you might be able to download some third party software off the web to unpack it.

well i looked, and it says .dmgs are for os x only :-( But what is it that you are trying to download? Maybe there is a classic version of it.

Thanks a lot my friend.

what is it in the .DMG you want? they usually just have apps for OS X. i can't imagine they would put an OS 9 app in a .dmg file...

can you find somebody with OS X to take the dmg and use stuffit to make a file you can open? i would imagine that ISOs would work too.
