Hey! I have a running Mac with SLS 10.6.2. In general it is running real good. But there is one glitch. When i want to login for the first time it takes ages. I checked the logs and sshd into the box during boot and login. What i found was that the DNS server seems to hang at boot. Causing a real painful delay at login - up to 1 HOUR ! BUT when this login finally succeeded SLS is working perfectly.

changeip -checkostname during login says that i should reconfigure my dns.
After the first login it says everything is ok. It is really strange.
During first login i could not resolve any hostname (nslookup / dig). After the first login this works perfectly too.
Server-Admin says that the DNS server is running during startup. Restarting the bind server does not help. killall -9 named and starting it again neather.
The logs do not reveal any important error messages.
I am running out of ideas.

Does someone has an idea why my server has troubles while booting with the dns server?
