I've been using a Windows program on my Macbook called Posadis to bypass my Playstation 3's firmware check when I sign onto the Playstation Network without having to update. It redirects the DNS server or something; don't ask me!
Is there an equivalent OS X program or a setup already in the system that can do the same thing, one that is relatively safe and easy? I work in OS X more. Have mercy on me: a GUI program would be nice!
I've looked on Versiontracker, but I'm not sure which one is right.
Here are the details of what Posadis does. It took me hours to get it working finally in WinXP (that network setup is a mess compared to OS X).

Edit: Sorry for not posting this in the Mac Applications subforum. I noticed it right after posting.
