DNS wont resolve names

Last night everything was working fine last thing I did was update iTunes. Shut the iMac off for the night (possible storms last night) turned it on this morning and cant browse. I can ping/browse by ip address but not by name. I have tried hardcoding both my ISP's dns servers and Google's open dsn servers and same thing have power cycled modem/router/switch and iMac. Internet working fine on 2 pc's and iPods.

Any ideas?

Noticed few other problems, iTunes wouldn't run, finder locking up. So tried repair disk permisions and that seemed to solve all problems. Can browse now. First time I've had to do that.
