Hi, my daughter is obsessed with my Apple Watch and we are currently helping her learn to tell the time.

I am thinking of getting her a cheap used 38mm Apple Watch (probably 1st/2nd gen) for when she is at home and hoping that she can use the tap to speak the time out loud.

ignoring whether a small child should have an Apple Watch....do all of them have this feature? Do even the 1st gen speak the time when tapped?

thanks

I think so - but on the Mickey or Minnie face only.

It works on any face, two fingers on the time.

Interesting.... Just tried it but the two fingers on the screen for me do not work?
Series 4 SBSS.

EDITED: Disregard.... What they do not say in the instructions is you must also select ‘Always Speak’ and not ‘Control with Silent Mode’.

Gotta love that Apple guide: I know they have to include it for completion’s sake, but the last method just seems so...superfluous?

Ask Siri: Raise your wrist and say “What time is it?”
