Or do they still throw other Panel ID's in there occasionally? Four of my friends recently got iPhones, and they were all 7450768... I got a replacement iPhone yesterday and it was this Panel ID too, and it exhibited awful negative black so I ended up getting my other iPhone back (because of activation problems)...

I don't think so. I just got one and the panel is 7520768. No negative black and the picture looks fine to me.

Thats what I meant 7520768...

Can you see the textured background when you fire up the Calculator application?

sweet! and can you see texture when you look at the 'info' button of the weather app? (should see some pattern)

does your screen pass appleservedup.com tests?

My iPhone has panel ID 7520768 and it looks great. I just went to appleservedup.com and went through their tests and it looks like all is good.

It seems like the negative black issue isn't specific to the panel ID? Just manufacturing differences?

iPhone is a bit complex

I like the iPhone and all but when you first get it you have to do a lot of things.:D:apple:

Yes, I can see a pattern but it is very light.

Passes the screen test. And no dead/stuck pixels.

I just tested my 7520768 iPhone LCD. Mine also passed. No dead pixels and no shadow problems. Thanks for that link.

I must have really bad luck

LCD panel ID: 7520768

negative black problem really bad

This is my third phone all with the same problem. The Apple Genius said for me to just wait awhile and try again in a week or so.

I have a week 48 iPhone with ID #7520768 and it fails both the negative black and dead/stuck pixel tests. 18 dead/stuck pixels and a highly reflective blacks. I have already contacted the AppleCare rep who handled my first iPhone replacement but if I don't hear from him by Monday afternoon, I'll be contacting AppleCare again.
