I bought a WD My Passport cheap from Amazon and pulled it apart to get to the WD2500BEVS (250gb) drive.
I popped it in my macbook, which was easy enough, but today I had to go back to the original hard drive. The vibration from the replacement drive at first did not feel too bad but after a short while it started to bother me and soon after I had to walk away from the machine.

I still need to upgrade the HD.
Does the WD3200BEVT (320GB) have the same vibration problem?

Vibration? Are you sure you properly seated the drive in the bracket and snugged everything down? WD drives are usually quiet and do not vibrate unless you just got a defective drive. If it's really vibrating, I would return it to Amazon for a refund or a new one.

Regards.

Thanks for the replies.
I will swap it out for another - probably the 320Gb model

Vibration or that gyration feel to it? In other works is it physically shaking or do you just feel a hum and wobble to it.
