Anybody know if there is a non-invasive smart lock (that installs over existing locks, not replace, as I am a renter) that prevents lock bumping? I’m thinking it would do this by basically by not allowing a key turn to turn the lock—the lock is stuck in place by the electric motor until it turns the lock electrically. I’m pretty doubtful this exists since it would render physical keys useless, but just checking.
In case anyone doesn’t know, lock bumping is a very easy technique that robbers use to unlock deadbolts which I believe almost all deadbolts are susceptible to unfortunately.
