The retina MBPs were the first to ditch the Optical drive to make it extra thin with loads of room for battery in the chassis. Edit: first for the MacBook Pro line

The last portable macs with an optical drive were the 2012 non-retina MacBook Pros. You can still buy the 2012 13" MacBook Pro new. http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro?product=MD101LL/A&step=config# I'd go for something newer though. Do you NEED an internal optical drive?
