I don't know if this is new or not, but I was looking up the standing of my favorite baseball team and wen't to their home page and the standings weren't listed for all the teams in their division. So I went back to the same same page in a different window, but I chose to use private browsing, how come I got to see what I wanted to see when I viewed the page in private browsing? BTW. I am using the beta version of the current OS. (I did not choose to do that myself. I had trouble once and the tech support specialist urged me to sign up for the BETA program.)

Thank you.

You shouldn't be running beta software.

It's going to be difficult for anyone to diagnose without knowing any real details. You could provide the URL, for instance.

I would 1) reboot your device and try again, and 2) move off the Beta. If it's still an issue provide the link and someone can verify in a non-beta version.

Like I said before, if I sound rude, I am sorry. I don't mean to, the Apple tech support specialist urged me to. I was surprised, but followed directions that were given to me.

This is a recent change on the mlb.com team pages if that is the site you're looking at. Now all of the standings are on a separate page. Look for the link in the menu bar near the top of the page along with scores, roster, news, etc. If 'Standings' isn't in view, click on the 3dot pull down menu.

No, not rude at all :D

I think it just supposed to be a back-up incase something doesn't work as it should in on the BETA. I use the test account to create my Apple Music Playlist because I like how to resolution settings are set up.

Things routinely don't work as they should on beta software. If you want things to work you shouldn't be running beta software, as a general rule.

I wasn't aware of this "improvement" / change. I look at my favorite team web page several times a week, and the standings in their division is one thing I always check. Just the other day it was still there.

Update (5/22/25): Standings for the division were still on my favorite team's page yesterday (the day of this post), just as it's been for as long as I can remember.

Later that same day I went back, and the standings were not on the home page. The link to the standings is apparently set up to put the division the team is in at the top.

They've also removed the stats for team leaders in hitting and pitching. I sent a question to the help center to ask for help finding that information, which is well-hidden. I haven't heard back, and it's a holiday weekend…

Click on 'Stats" then 'Baseball Savant". What team are you following? It seems there are slight differences between the different Team's web pages. For example on the Detroit Tigers page, just clicking on stats loads the stats page. On the LA Dodgers, and some others. you need to select 'Baseball Savant' from the 'Stats' drop down menu.

Edit: Baseball Savant gives you Statcast data also. I guess not all teams have or publish that data.

I'll give that a try. First I have to watch yesterday's game. I'm a die hard Cubs fan. They are doing quite well this season! I try not to miss a game unless I'm on a trip away from home.

Edit: Yeah, different. On the Cubs' page, the options from Stats are: Team Stats*, Top Prospect Stats, Affiliate Stats. *This brings up a list of all teams, sortable by each column. It can only be filtered by League. This is interesting too, but I still hope to find Cubs leaders for the team, not all of MLB.

MLB answered my inquiry. They gave me a link, not how to find a team's stat leaders from their Home Page. But, if I just type /stats after the Home Page URL, it brings up stats for that team's players.

They first sent a link that was for all teams, but was sortable by team, unlike the page I get from the Home Page drop down as described above. But the workaround of typing /stats takes me directly to what I want to see.

Thanks! Good tip, saves me from typing 5 characters. ;)

I didn't realize that just clicking a drop-down's heading did anything. I was always clicking and holding.

An observation:
In the stats list, some players are designated as DH or 1B, etc. but some are X. It's not that players who have been in games at more that one position have the X. Some who have been at different positions are given the position they've played the most. Interesting.

As luck would have it, my MBA isn’t working at all. I’ve tried different charging cables, a different detachable plug tip, the piece you can take off to attach the extension cord, and two extension cords. Things have been going downhill for a year or so.

Personal reasons prevented me from making an appointment at the Genius Bar. I have a feeling it’s just the battery.

The battery status said service recommended, but I, like I said, had personal reasons not to check things out sooner.
