Does anyone know of any online or instore retailers that still sell the 15" MBP with C2D (basicly "last years model") that would be a new in box item?

(hoping to find a 15" matte)

Thank you!

B&H has older models still, but you aren't going to find any matte. The matte option went away with the unibody, but came back as antiglare on the newest models.

I'd keep your eye on the Apple Refurbished Store. Refurbs are like-new (sometimes they are new, especially right after a model refresh). Currently I see only 17-inchers with the antiglare screen (25% off!), but 15-inchers do show up.

Refurb prices/selection are generally best right after a new model comes out (i.e. right now!).

You might want to check your local Best Buy, the one in my area had a handful of C2D Macbook/Macbook Pros that had been reduced in price by about $100-200.

My local PX (Store on base) Still only has the older models....

Im sure they are waiting until inventory is gone before updating.

Right now i see this on the store:

Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
15.4-inch LED-backlit antiglare widescreen display
4GB memory
500GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
SD Card Slot
Built-in 7-hour battery
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
Illuminated keyboard

of course there is. apple has offered the matte/antiglare option on 15" and 17" MBP at least since unibody MacBook Pros with non-replacable Battery...

regards

Thanks everyone, I might try picking up those refurbished compiuters from Apple directly. Im still weary of buying a 'refurbished' computer and would rather have gotten a straight new one that a retailer might still have stocked for whatever reason, but beggers cant be choosers. Lets hope the refurbs last as long as every other Mac Ive owned so far (about 4-5 years of heavy use)

Thanks again
