I was just wondering, in case I download an app, does the developer get my information? Like my Apple-ID (so basically my email address), my name, etc.?

Because there's so many useless, free apps out there, I was wondering if they may not have made for the sole purpose of getting people's information.

Not if buy from App Store or Mac App Store.

There are plenty of good apps, so you can ignore the ones you think are "useless." They can be someone's class project for example.

Yes, I meant both App Stores (on OSX and iOS). Good to know then!
What about iTunes by the way? I guess it's the same thing.
