Do Apple apps ever go on sale?

I was wondering if anyone knew (or have seen) if Apple's own apps ever go on sale in either the iOS App Store or the Mac App Store.

Of course, they tend to be pricier than most 3rd party apps, but a couple of them are worth getting. I don't ever recall those prices changing. Do they ever go on sale during the Holidays?

When I bought my iMac I became eligible for Pages, Numbers and Keynote for free. There are bundles offered occasionally at a reduced price. And I'd check during Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Often, Apple Gift cards go on sale and can be used for apps. Good luck.
