Do Apple Store Emloyees Use Different Versions Of iTunes

They prob. have a 'technician' version of iTunes, but its still iTunes under the hood.

I had a similar issue where i couldn't get a iPhone restored because of the error 5 or 6 or some crap. Tried all the standard troubleshooting(cables,ports etc) Finally fired up my VM image of XP and plugged it in and presto restore done. No idea why but it worked so we are happy.
