Hi, the title is the short version.

This is the longer one: I've just started to play with video/video editing after a break. In the past I'd used premiere elements/imovie, but more recently I've been using Go Pro's Quick, Splice and some other apps on my phone after filming using filmic pro.

Using these apps I've found that the end video gets compressed (if that's the right terminology-at least the quality is reduced, despite having everything setup properly from recording to editing).

I'm wondering are there any similar apps available for my MacBook that can automate more of the process, in terms of timing with music, styles etc? I'm happy trawling through footage to trim, cut and correct colours etc.

I know it's lazy but my time is limited and I'm not a 'choreographer' or director in that sense if you know what I mean.

Also interested in any software that will work with anamorphic footage too.

Thanks!
