Do backups include music?

i'd hate to sort through my entire library to transfer over what i want on my phone.



also, i have another question so i'll just ask it here..does anyone backup their itunes library somewhere? what would you suggest? i'd hate to have something happen one day and lose all my music

I backup my entire SSD using Time Machine,so it includes the iTunes library as well--peace of mind
