I have a mid-2009 Macbook Pro and a 24" Apple Cinema Display purchased in September 2009. The Apple Cinema Display has a cable with 1 USB, 1 DisplayPort, 1 MagSafe power. I'm in the market for a new MacBook Pro and am crossing my fingers that Apple will release a new model this Fall.

My question is this, do current MacBook Pro's work with the model Apple Cinema Display that I have (i.e. DisplayPort)? If the new MacBook Pro's go the way of the current MacBook's, (USB-C), would that be able to work with my Apple Cinema Display?

Yes, the current MBP's work with the Cinema Display. My understanding is that if there's a converter for USB-C to MiniDP/TB2, then the Cinema Display should work with the new MacBooks.
