Recently i haven't been able to empty my trash bin. Every time i try a message pops up and says:

"The item ".Trash" is in use right now and cannot be opened. Try again when the current task (such as moving or copying an item or emptying the trash) is complete."

I asked someone, and they said that i have a virus?! I reallyyy hope not but if i do then how do i fix it? Can i download a free virus detector or something that scans my computer? & i thought OS X doesn't have any viruses?

Calm down, you don't have a virus.

There is just something wrong with your .Trash file that it's being accessed. I assume you've restarted and tried again (if not, try it).
I'm not in front of a Mac right now, so I can't really look much more into it at the moment. But rest assured, it's not a virus.
