My macbook pro specs are in my sig.......ok now do I have digital out and what headphone socket do i use it appears i have to i think one is for a mic

MacBook and/or MacBook Pro = Yes, you have digital out via the standard headphone jack.
You'll need a mini-optical toslink cable to take advantage of it.
