I just got this machine back for the second repair for the whine... I got the new logic board and it completely eliminated the whine. Anyway I started it up on battery (charged 4/5 according to the lights on the back, I didn't notice what the computer displayed) and it died after 5 minutes. It started back up on AC adapter but I get this:

4% of original capacity?! And -1 charge after it was just at 70-80%?

The computer is a W8609.

Have you tried calibrating it? Though in this case, I just think there's a defect in your battery. :(

Go to the Apple Store and tell them. You might be able to get batteries there. Though I'm not sure.
