Do I have to be Primary account holder to upgrade on a BEST BUY?

I just got a pre order on BEST BUY, but I didn't check if could actually get it since I am not the primary account holder. I am authorized to make account changes in the AT&T store, but I don't know if that applies to BEST BUY.
