Hello,

I had my computer in for a display replacement and now when I got the computer back the new display is even worse. Are my requirements just to high?

The display when looked at from a very small angle the display starts to shimmer, kind of like the iPod Touch had in the beginning http://home.comcast.net/~audi-fan/IMG_5940.jpg (From Apple Discussions user: jmpage2)

Here is a pic of my display http://flickr.com/photos/adamny/2367316172/ . The shimmer becomes blue when i take a shot is there anyway to get more of the negative effect in the picture?

I'm running a 1st gen MacBook Pro 2Ghz.

Is their no one that has seen this issue on a display before or know if apple will replace this display? Will need to be without it for a week for evaluation so would be great if anyone knows that this will be replaced or if it is seen as okej by Apple.

I'm not sure what you mean by shimmer? You don't mean the blurriness of the leaf on the left? I assume that must be the photo, if not that would be a real problem

Do you mean the backlight bleeding in the other photos? If so it's really impossible to judge that from a photo.

The bluriness is just because of the camera and my shaky hands. The issue is the blue in the top right corner, this is the image as a desktop http://flickr.com/photos/mandolux/111188452/ it should be dark coloured.

The problem I haven't been able to photograph properly but it's kind of like the other image of the iPod Touch, that it becomes like a negative effect on the picture.

Dissolving Powerbook display screen

Hi
I too have problems with a display which starts up OK but then after about 20 minutes just dissolves into a fragmented, distorted circle in front of me. Any ideas? One repair shop said it might be something to do with power supplies.
