You'll probably only get back about 3 gb from removing unncessary printer drivers and the languages.

Thanks, Ill try the monolingual thing. Just to be sure, this is only removing the GUI elements right? I'll still be able to type and stuff in foreign languages?
You can still type in other languages as long as you have those fonts installed.

Yeah, It's only the GUI fonts. Feel free to scratch everything except English and you'll be fine :).

Monolingual told me I saved 1.9 gigs but I watched the Get info box for Mac HD and calculated closer to 3 gigs. I imagine somewhere in between?:)
I am pondering removing those print drivers. I really would cry if I sudo rm -r 'ed the wrong thing and screwed up my MBP!
1.6 gigs... worth it?

For me, I don't really care about 1 or 2GB since i end up having to move 15-20GB over to external storage every month or so. You could try Onyx and tell it to display hidden folders and drag them to the trash. That might work, I'm not sure.

Nahh. I am happy with the recovered disk space from monolingual, though. Thanks. Now I have room for the complete 1st season of the A-team!
I pity the fool who don't have room for a whole season of the A-Team! ;)

If in doubt, don't bother. If you do end up using this command, have everything nicely backed up (as always) so recovery won't be a hassle. :)
