Do i jusg turn off bluetooth

Ok heres my question when I come in from work I take off my watch and put it on dresser. Now that I have an iwatch if I take it off my phone wont show incoming messages or anything they still go to watch. So can I just turn off Bluetooth on phone then back on when I put watch back on. Also I don't use the passcode on watch do to tattoo on wrist everything works fine I only use apple pay from phone.

I figured it out. Use airplane mode on watch....

If wrist detection is set to "on", it should automatically reroute all messages to the phone once it's removed. You shouldn't have to turn airplane mode on and off to fix this.

Putting on the charger will do the same. But I have turned off BT when taking off my watch for a shower, etc. Either way works good.
