Hi,
I have the Series 8 Hermes and am most likely upgrading to Ultra 3 when it comes out. I am curious if my account will be able to keep the fun watch faces if I am not on Hermes branded hardware? This is not a dealbreaker but I am curious. I will not consider paying extra for a Hermes Ultra 3 because that is a lot for just a branding and I will still be able to use my Hermes bands if I want.

Thanks,

There's no reason to believe that's the case. If you had a Hermes S3 and replaced it with an aluminium S6, you didn't get Hermes faces on the S6. The Ultra 3 is not out yet, but no reason to believe it would be any different.

Would Apple even consider a Hermes AWU? Or Hermes for that matter!

I never considered a Hermes, but, my Ultra has a modular face that is exclusive to the Ultra and not available on my S7, so I cannot imagine that Hermes watch faces would be available on a non-Hermes AW.

Answer is no. The watch faces are tied to the respective Watch, not the user.

Thanks for the answers. I am not sure about faces being tied to watch versus user since when I have upgraded the watch my new one always automatically started with the ones I had on the old one. I will miss the horse but like the ultra faces also.

Mine have also, but the faces have to be common to both watches. I use the Modular Ultra face on my AWU2, but if I were to switch to an AW10 I'd end up with a different face because the Modular Ultra is only offered on the Ultra watches. It would be the same with the Hermes face, they're unique to the Hermes watches and not available on others.

Yeah, this. OP asked about Hermès-exclusive faces, and you will never see them on a non-Hermès Watch. Watch faces that are not exclusive to Hermès will obviously also be available on a new Watch. Same thing with the Ultra-exclusive watch faces. Used to be so with the Nike-exclusive faces, too, but they became available on all Watches once Apple stopped releasing specific Nike Watches.

Unless you get the Hermes version of Apple Watch Ultra 2 or the upcoming 3, Hermes faces will not transfer to the ultra 3 if it’s not the Hermes model, nor if it’s the non Hermes aluminum and titanium models when you pair the Apple Watch from your Hermes Apple Watch Series 8.
