I have to admit it has taken me a bit to figure out if I made the right move from my 15" Matte 2.16 C2D.
I can say after playing with it now for a few weeks I do really like it.

The screen is awesome and driving my 30" cinema with PS and lots of pictures is a snap. The 128 Meg memory on my old laptop was very slow updating pictures and scanning through PS bridge.

The size is great, yes it is bigger but since I do not take it out that much it's a non issue. I will be happier when my older laptop sells on ebay..
So it gets my 5 star rating.

Did you get i5 or i7? And why did you choose it over the other?

I just received my 17" i7 AG MBP today and I freakin' love it, every bit of it, couldn't be happier, to me the resolution and the speaker quality compared to the 15" is totally worth the extra size, not to mention I am coming from a 17" laptop that was heaps larger, so this is a huge improvement in size still.

If you have a 30 inch cinema display why did you decide to opt for the 17 inch out of interest?

Good question.

One reason I got the 17" for only $50 more than a I7 15 ag.
The other reason, why not. I spend a lot of time doing other things than my pro photography so the real-estate is great. When I work on photos I use the cinema or size and quality.
