Do I Need A New Battery

Hi

This is my first post.

I have a MacBook Pro 15inch mid 2010 and am in the process of updating it to 8gb RAM and a 250gb SSD.

My battery power is pretty poor so not sure if I should get a new battery and change it when I change the other bits.

Stats are:

Current Capacity: 5946 mAh
Design Capacity: 6900 mAh
86%
Age Of Mac: 39 months
Battery Loadcycles: 465
Temp: 30c
Battery Power Usage 16.6 Watt

How long does the laptop last on the battery - has there been a significant drop off?

I really don't look at any battery stats myself. The best indicator for me, is whether it holds a charge or not. If you're not getting much life out of it, then replace it.

If I'm editing or working in CS6 it normally lasts around 2hours,

The issue is when she watches films! it normally lasts up to an hour.

Will take your advice and change it, it cant be worse... can it!

Do you have active AppleCare coverage?

If so, take it to a store and have them replace it for free.
