Do I need an anti-virus software for Mac?

Hello,
I'm thinking whether to get an anti-virus for my Mac, because I recently heard some rumor about people targeting Mac. If so, which product do you think I need?

I copied some files from my friend's machine, including some old MP3, I don't know if any of them is... and whether it'd contain any virus. I'm so concerned...Please help! thanks

There ar no viruses on OSX, yet. There are a few trojans but if you stay away from pirated software and dodgy p0rn sites, you will have no problems.
