From Apple, 69.99 GBP

i wanted to use the apple on my newer desktop and use my g4 with my tv as a torrentz box.

can anyone help point me in the region of a cheap one or alernative?!

you'll need a DVI to ADC connector if you don't have a ADC port on your video card. dr. bott's & belkin make a cheapy DVI to ADC connector. not sure how well they work though :)

Adapter from Apple runs $100 in the US, and as the case with everything in UK, it'll cost you more than the price after currency conversion, probably between 50 and 100 pounds.

Note there 2 adapters:

ADC -> DVI (inexpensive, small piece similar to DVI to VGA, but NOT what you need for the display)
DVI -> ADC (comes with a power unit, this is what you want)

yup i did a bit of google digging ;)

69.99 apple store (*@"k that)

ebay put a max 30 (+5 postage) on one.

i got the powermac quicksilver 2002 (933/2/80) 17" ACD and Apple Keyboard and Mouse for £100

spending 35 so i can use the acd with other computers is ok ;)

Just one question because of the low price--- is that an adapter WITH a power source as consultant mentioned above that you need? With that low price it seems like it would be just the non-powered adapter cable that will not work with hooking an ADC monitor to a DVI graphic card. The cheaper not powered adapter cables are only meant for hooking up a DVI monitor to a ADC graphic card since DVI monitors have their own power cords which an ADC monitor does not (gets its power through the ADC connector).

yeah i need the one with a power adapter - so i can use it on my pc (my tv is 22" my acd is 17" :)
