Do I need iOS 14 to pair iphone with Apple Watch 6?

Hi All,


Do I need iOS 14 to pair iphone with Apple Watch 6?

I’ve looked on the internet and cannot find a straight answer.

My iphone se 2020 is on iOS 13.6.1 and is running great. I was hoping to wait until 14.1 to upgrade.

Is IOS 14.0.1 going ok with the AW6?

Yes. Your phone needs to be on iOS 14 with your watch 6 on WatchOS 7.

I have the same phone and iOS 14 is running fine although it is using more battery.

Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated

OK, I’ll back up the phone tommorow and do the IOS update overnight.

(Can’t do it tonight, just in case it messes up the HotspTo. I need that for work. If i do it over the weekend, I can test and fix any hotspot issues then.)
