Do I need SHSH Blobs?

So i got an iPhone 4S

i had jailbroken it last week as it was still on iOS 5.0.1.


i know apple is no longer signing iOS 5.0.1 but i have heard about SHSH Blobs.


I don't know how to use them or how they work.


But i want to know will i need them in the future if i ever need to restore my iPhone and if iTunes forces me to upgrade?

No, SHSH's don't work the same way they used to ( I mean on A5 devices like 4S and iPad 2/3). There is no way of going back once you upgrade to 5.1.

Whilst they aren't usable, yet, there's no harm in saving them just in case somebody figures out a way in the future.

Personally speaking, I would save them.
