Do I need the account holder with me if I'm upgrading from a 3G to a 3GS?

My GF and I have a shared plan, but its in her name since my credit is horrible and AT&T wanted a big deposit (Note to the kids out there: pay your credit cards while you're in college)

Will I need her there with me in order to upgrade and re-enter the 2 year agreement. I'm assuming I will, just making sure.

To my understanding, as long as you are on the account, know the name of the account holder, the last four of the SS#, and any passcode on the account, you are fine to do it alone.

Have your GF go to ATT wireless web site and add you as an authorized user or have her call ATT to add you. Then they will allow you to purchase equip or change services.
