Do I need to do anything to make Intelligent Keyboard to work?

Hi,

So I was looking at my "Finger Tips" manual that came with the iPhone 3G S. It talked about an intelligent keyboard where it will finish words for you. So I tried typing 'restaurant' into an email and it never gave me any suggestion. No word I typed gave me any suggestion before I finished. The only thing that worked was the apostrophe '.

Is it working for you right out of the box?

Is correct..

It's more of an intelligent keyboard in that it guesses what you were trying to type but your fatty fingers wouldn't let you

I see. So basically just type as fast as you want and it will start correcting words for you. I had just thought I could type slow and it would auto finish words, even if I was spelling them correctly to begin with.
