Do I need to download internet eraser software to protect my privacy, erase history, erase free space on disks when online?

No. You can reset Safari and turn on Private Browsing but the question should be, what do you do that would result in you being so paranoid?

Also, the internet is far from private. You can try to control the level of privacy you have but it is not entirely private.
