If I'm using the "fetch" method of retrieving emails for the time being is there any reason to have the push option turned on? Does iCloud need it on for my contacts or for the Find My iPhone application? I'm not sure if it has any effect on the battery by having it on but if it's not necessary I would just switch it off.

So iCloud doesn't need it on to access the contacts or the Find My iPhone application? Does it drain the battery having it turned on or is there no real benefit to switching it to off?

Can anyone confirm that iCloud does not need the "PUSH" option turned ON if I have my emails set up to be retrieved manually?

Just want to make sure it doesn't need to be on for contacts or Find My Phone to work and sync with iCloud still.
