I just got a new MBP today and was about to load my copy of iLife '06 when I started looking at the various versions of applications that were already installed on the machine and began to think that I might not need to install iLife '06 after all. Ideally I would just compare the versions of the application that are on the computer currently with those which are on the install disk, but I can't seem to locate the individual application versions when looking on the install disk. Any thoughts on how to proceed?

All new Macs come with iLife pre-installed. I guess your new MBP has the latest iLife 06' installed.:)

These wouldn't be applications be something like iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, GarageBand, iTunes and iWeb would they?

Unless you have removed them, you will already have the full iLife suite on your computer.

I hope you didn't buy a retail disk?
