I use VLC Media Player, is there any reason to keep DVD Player?

I'm obsessive compulsive, I want to get rid of apps I don't use.

The question wasn't is there any reason to get rid of it though, it was is there any good reason to keep it? So let's answer that question please.

Duff-Man says...the only reason I can think of for keeping it is that updates to it are done as part of the OS updates that Apple periodically releases. I've never paid much attention to how those DVD Player updates have been applied. You could find that it appears in your app folder again after an update which you can then delete again (most likely scenario), but if it was only trying to install a few components in the DVD Player package and it was not there it might present a problem running the update (unlikely?). So, for my money for the little space it takes up why not just leave it....oh yeah!

Thanks Duff Man. That's a good enough reason for me. Rather not have the hassle of worrying about updates.
