Do I need to unlock iphone 4 before selling?

This is probably a naive question but I'm selling my iphone 4 and have never jailbroken or done anything to it...do I need to do anything as far as unlocking it before I sell it on ebay or should I just wipe it and take the SIM card out?

unlocked/jailbroken it might sell for more but it isn't something you have to do.

just erase all data and settings....and keep your sim

I wouldn't do it. It's risky. Erase it completely in the settings menu and let the buyer tinker with it.
