Do I need to upgrade my RAM?

Hi guys, using my computer recently (2011, 4gb RAM, 500gb HD) I checked the activity monitor and I usually have around 600-500mb of RAM left. Is that ok or should I upgrade to 8gb? The reason it is like this is because I do graphic intensive stuff often. Thanks

Your page outs will tell you if you need more RAM. If you have any page outs, you will probably benefit from more RAM. The more page outs you have, the more Benefit you will see from additional RAM.

I would upgrade. RAM is so cheap and if you can swing it, I would look at getting 16gb

If your page outs accumulate to 1 GB and more during a day of your typical usage (after a restart), you can use more RAM.
