Hi MacRumors,

I just graduated from highschool a few months ago. I will be going to college next year, but not in the United States. My question is will I be able to qualify for Apple's Back To School Promotion?

I am a student going to college after all.

Yes, but if you purchase in store, you'll need some form of student ID from the college or an acceptance letter.

I will be buying it in the store. I have an acceptance letter.

Another question, should i wait until Lion is preinstalled onto Macbook Pros in July to buy the laptop? Or does it really matter?

Depends on how comfortable you are installing Lion yourself, if you order now you get it free when it comes out anyways

Has been mentioned several times in earlier threads. It doesn't matter. You will be able to get Lion for free after sending in some info to Apple with their Up-To-Date program. Might be best to buy it now with SL installed so if there are major issues with the .0 release of Lion, you can go back to SL with very few issues and just upgrade when 10.7.1 is released.
