You know, things have really gone too far with privacy invasion...

I don't shop at MacMall. I think I ended up on their site because of
a link from a CultofMac article advertising the fact they were taking preorders
on the new iMacs. I was interested in looking at the build options.

This morning I get a phone call...

"Hi this is MacMall calling. We noticed you were browsing our
website. Is there anything we can help you with?"

Does the world really need online stores bothering you at home
every time you browse their website?

I basically told MacMall to take me off their phone list. I will
now never shop there again because of this practice.

Why did you give them your phone number in the first place, if you didn't want any calls?

I am *guessing* it is from an order placed years ago. They still have it on file and somehow was able to spot me browsing their website.

Indeed, I'm curious how they got your phone number. Did you perhaps give it to them?

Edit: I see! An old order...I agree to call you based on recent browsing would be too aggressive for my taste.
