Do I sell now and buy later?

I have a “spare” 2012 Mac Mini.
i5 8GB spinner drive
(I have it booting from USB3 ssd)

It’s in the garage for when I’m there working on stuff to research things or just listen to music.

With the introduction of the Apple Silicon, does it make sense for me to sell it now, and buy another one in early spring?

I won’t be in the garage this winter season (due to other reasons).

I’d be fine without it for 5 months.

Do you think price of a 2012 i5 will drop enough to sale here or on eBay and purchase again?

Really, the optimum time to sell for good money would have been a while ago. Since, Apple Silicon aside, the 2012 Mini has already been dropped from official OS support as of Big Sur.
