Since the home button isn't a physical button anymore I'm wondering if glass screen protectors still need to cutout this area, just seems that without the cutout it would look much nicer. Glass screen protectors work just fine with 3d touch, so it seems like they should work with the new button.

Anyone know? Better yet, have any been released yet?

So touch ID doesn't work through 0.2mm? I'm genuinely curious as I don't know.

How could it worth through glass? There is a sensor around the button that senses your finger. In addition to that, the new home button isn't 100% flush with the display, its ever so slightly depressed to simulate the look of a home button. Just because it doesn't click, doesn't mean you can cover it.
